In this event, all teachers, students and parents gathered together. CIS specially invited many guest leaders to participate. The leaders’ speeches brought full blessings and expectations, lighting up new hope for the future development of CIS.

• Secretary of the Party Committee of Beijiao Town: Wang Dehua

  Secretary Wang said that when he introduced CIS to Beijiao, he was interested in CIS's globally certified international courses, an excellent management team, and a one-stop teaching system for all ages from kindergarten to high school. Secretary Wang emphasized that CIS is the first school for foreigners’ children in Shunde District and will help Shunde Beijiao Town become a first-class educational town in the Greater Bay Area and enhance its attraction to international talents. Secretary Wang finally expressed his hope to work with the school in the future to explore new paths, create new models, and build new heights on how to cultivate global innovative talents.

• CIS Director: Dr. Howard Strabell

  School director Howard analyzed in detail the growth trajectories of many outstanding alumni trained by CIEO Group, including three-year high school GPA, provincial examination scores, on-campus student duties, activities, competitions and final university admissions.   Dr. Howard also announced that this year, in order to strengthen the concept of "academic excellence", we have also introduced a strong advisory team to help us. Dr. Kuiper, our academic director, has more than 30 years of experience in the Canadian public system, Thomas Midbo is a former Alberta Ministry of Education official who has served as a high school principal for many years, and Mary-Anne Jasinski, a former elementary school principal at TIS in Macau, The two now serve as full-time advisors to our Foshan students and teachers.

The CIS boarding student choir performed the energetic Congolese folk song "Banaha" and the Latin song "Gaudeamus" at this event. This was the first performance for CIS students. The beautiful and well-timed singing brought thunderous applause from the audience.
